HOW DOES EXCELLENT WORK?
It’s really easy. Enter your preferred pickup date, indicate whether you have Wash & Fold, Laundered Shirts (men’s button down shirts for pressing only), or Dry Cleaning. Add any information regarding stains and specific pickup and delivery instructions. Enter the preferred delivery date, then submit the order. We’ll bring you a Excellent laundry bag and garment bag to use on all your orders on your first pickup. That’s it – now go back to doing what you love.
WHAT'S THE TURNAROUND TIME?
Wash & Fold has a 24 hour turnaround time, with an option for same day or overnight for an extra fee
Laundered Shirts (men’s button down shirts for pressing) and Dry Cleaning have a 36-48 hour turnaround time during the week, and 48-72 hours on the weekend. There is also an option for 24 hour rush for Dry Cleaning for an extra fee.

WHAT SERVICES DOES EXCELLENT PROVIDE?
Excellent offers 4 different services:
Wash & Fold – Clothing is washed and dried according to the care preferences selected in the app, then folded neatly for an impeccable presentation.
Hang Dry – Clothing is washed and hung on hangers to be dried.
Laundered shirts – only available for men’s button-down shirts. Shirts are washed and machine pressed.
Dry Cleaning – Clothing is washed in a solvent, pressed and returned ready to wear to your next event!
DO I HAVE TO BE HOME WHEN YOU COME BY?
For deliveries we prefer that you (or your roommate) be home or have a doorman in your building for us to leave the clothes with.
WHAT IS THE HANG DRY POLICY?
There is a $1 charge per piece for hang dry. Depending on the turn-around time of your order and the fabrics of the items, most items will return still damp. The wetness will depend on the type of fabric and its thickness.
DO YOU CHECK THE CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR MY CLOTHING?
Unfortunately, while we’d love to, we aren’t able to take time to check all care labels on all the items we receive. We do give you the opportunity to let us know exactly how you’d like your clothing taken care of via the ‘PREFERENCES’ section of placing an order. You can select the drying and washing levels and detergent type there.
WHERE DOES MY CLOTHING GO?
After your clothes are picked up by a member of our concierge team, they are taken to one of our processing facilities. Wash and fold orders are weighed, and hang dry, laundered shirt, and dry cleaning items are individually processed and categorized. All works will be done in the store.
CAN I PROVIDE SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR MY ADDRESS?
Absolutely! Every time you add a new address you’ll be able to enter specific instructions related to that address, such as “buzzer is broken” or “watch out for the neighbor’s dog!”. Additionally, on the Pay & Review screen you can enter any specific ‘Pickup’ and ‘Delivery’ instructions that may be more temporary in nature, such as “leave bag with my roommate” or “please call when you’re downstairs”.
DOES EXCELLENT FIX BUTTONS AND TEARS?
Yes. We offer alterations or repairs.
WHAT IS EXCELLENT’S STANDARD FOR WASH & FOLD?
We separate your whites and colors. Whites are washed in hot water with Oxiclean (can be turned off through the app’s Preferences page), and colors are washed in cold water unless you tell us otherwise. We use Tide regular detergent and Downy fabric softener on every order, but offer an unscented option (Tide Free & Clear) as well. Everything is dried on regular heat. If you want to specify instructions, just let us know in the order preferences when you’re placing the order. You can specify cold or hot water, low to high heat for drying, hang drying up to 12 specific items, unscented detergent, no fabric softener, and so on. Any specifics are at no extra charge, with the exception of hang dry.
IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER?
There is $20 minimum order charge! If your items are under $20 (Laundry/Dry Cleaning combined), a surcharge will be added to the order to reach this amount. *Laundry has a 10 pound minimum per bag.
HOW DO I PAY?
We charge your card on file, or you can give us a call by phone.
SHOULD I TIP?
It’s up to you to decide if you want to tip you concierge or not.
HOW DO I KNOW HOW MUCH MY ORDER IS?
Although we only charge your card on file after your clothes are returned, we understand that waiting that long just to see a receipt doesn’t make much sense. That’s why we send you a receipt with your order total within a few hours of your order being picked up. That way you’ll know what the order total is before we charge anything to your card. The official weight gets entered once your bag reaches our facility where it is weighed by calibrated scales approved by the local city government.
WHAT'S YOUR SCHEDULE?
Our morning hours are 6:30a-10:00a M-F, and 8a-11:00a weekends. Our evening hours are 7p-10:00p every day.
Our office hour: Mon – Fri 7:30am – 7:00pm; Sat 8:00am – 6:30pm.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS A PICKUP OR DELIVERY, OR CANCEL LAST MINUTE?
If you’re not home during the window you requested, we will charge a $5 fee. Your Valet is paid for every attempt to pickup or deliver your items (even when you aren’t there). You can always reschedule or cancel a pickup free of charge up to 30 minutes before the requested time window, and you can reschedule a delivery free of charge before 6am for morning deliveries or before 6pm for evening deliveries. If you cancel or reschedule your pick up within 30 minutes of your window, or you reschedule your delivery after the deadline, there is a $5 fee.
CAN I LEAVE MY BAG WITH MY DOORMAN?
If you live in a doorman building, and indicate so when adding your address, you’ll see an option to let us know you’ll be leaving your bags with the doorman for pickups and that you’d like your bags left with the doorman on drop offs. If the option is not selected, our Valets will assume you want door service.
I FORGOT ABOUT MY PICKUP, AM I STILL BEING CHARGED?
We charge a $5 fee for missed pickups, You can cancel up to 30 minutes prior to your pickup time. Try giving us a call, we can work with you.
WHAT OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?
Same Day and Overnight
Excellent Rush allows you to have your wash and fold (no hang dry) picked up and delivered in the same day, or if placed in the evening, the next morning for just an extra $5.99 fee.
When placing a pick up, look for a green dot. This will indicate that you are able to use Cleanly Rush same-day services.
After you place your pick up, you will be able to choose your delivery for the same-day or next morning. It’s that easy!
